    Applications

    Precision Polishing

For mirror finishing of stainless steel, optical glass, and precision components. The angular grain shape delivers consistent cutting action; fine grades F800–F2000 reduce surface roughness effectively.

    Lapping & Grinding

Used as the abrasive phase in lapping compounds and slurries for bearings, hydraulic parts, and semiconductor substrates. Tight particle size distribution prevents deep scratches from oversize particles.

    Abrasive Blasting

For mold cleaning, deburring, and surface roughening. Micro powder grades produce a uniform matte finish on precision castings and medical instruments.

    Refractories

Added as fine powder in monolithic refractories to increase density and wear resistance of castables. High Al₂O₃ content and low impurity levels support high-temperature volume stability.

    Quality Assurance

Laser Particle Size Analysis Per Batch
Every batch is tested on a laser particle size analyzer for D50, D90, and distribution width. Data is supplied with the shipment.

    COA With Every Shipment
Each delivery includes a Certificate of Analysis covering chemical values (Al₂O₃, Fe₂O₃, SiO₂, TiO₂) and physical values (grit size, magnetic content).

    Water Classification Precision
Fine grades are water-classified, allowing D50 control within ±0.5 μm — suitable for polishing and lapping applications with strict PSD requirements.

    FAQ

Q1: What is your MOQ for brown fused alumina micro powder?
A: Our standard MOQ is 1 metric ton; trial orders of 500 kg are accepted for new customers.

Q2: Do you provide free samples?
A: Yes, we provide 1–5 kg free samples with a laser PSD report; courier cost is borne by the buyer.

Q3: What is the lead time?
A: Standard grades ship within 7–10 days; custom D50 specifications take 15–20 days.

Q4: What packaging options are available?
A: 25 kg kraft paper bags with inner PE liner, or 1,000 kg jumbo bags; palletized and shrink-wrapped for export.

Q5: Can you produce a custom particle size distribution?
A: Yes, water classification allows us to control D50 within ±0.5 μm for fine grades.

Q6: Is the Al₂O₃ content of micro powder different from coarse grit?
A: Yes. Micro powder grades undergo additional acid washing and classification, which typically results in a slightly higher Al₂O₃ content (≥95%) compared to standard coarse grit. We report the actual measured value on each COA.
