FAQ — Luoyang Weixiang Abrasives Co., Ltd.

1. Ordering & MOQ

1.1 Can I combine several product families in a single order?

Yes. A single order may cover resin-bonded cutting wheels, grinding wheels, flap discs, flexible abrasives and abrasive grains from different families.

Mixed containers (LCL consolidation within one FCL) are standard practice for us — you are not required to fill a full container with a single product. This allows you to test market demand with a smaller initial commitment while broadening the range you can offer your own customers.

1.2 What is your minimum order quantity?

Product family MOQ
Resin-bonded tools (cutting wheels, grinding wheels) 3,000 – 10,000 pcs
Flap discs 6,000 – 10,000 pcs

If your first order is smaller, please contact us. We can usually arrange a mixed trial order, combining several product families within the MOQ range above.

1.3 Can I sell the products under my own brand?

Yes. OEM and ODM production is a regular part of our business, not an exception.

We can design the artwork and packaging for you, and manufacture strictly to your specification — packaging format, carton quantity, labelling and barcoding.

1.4 Do you support private-label and neutral packing?

Yes. If your trademark is not yet registered in your target market, we can supply neutral packing (neutral packing): neither the product nor the packaging will carry the Weixiang name, allowing you to begin market promotion while registration is in progress.

2. Distribution & Territory

2.1 Do you protect territory rights for distributors?

Yes. Within an agreed territory, we do not sell the same specification through competing channels.

We recommend confirming the territory agreement in writing before you commit to advertising or brand promotion expenditure, so that both parties have a clear understanding of scope and validity.

3. Samples & Technical Confirmation

3.1 Can I receive samples before placing an order?

Yes. Samples are available for all catalogue items. We can also produce samples to your own specification for evaluation and for trial use with your end customers.

Once the sample is approved, it becomes the reference standard for the corresponding production batch.

3.2 Can you match a competitor's specification?

Yes. Send us the current product — the marking, dimensions, grit, bond and target price — and we will propose a comparable specification for evaluation, clearly stating any differences.

In many cases we can achieve a comparable result simply by adjusting grit or bond rather than changing the product type, which is more economical for both sides.

4. Packing & Logistics

4.1 How are goods packed for export?

Bonded tools and flap discs

  • Reinforced export cartons loaded on pallets
  • Wrapped and strapped with plastic strapping for protection during transit
  • Each carton marked with product name, specification, quantity, batch number and carton number

Abrasive grains (fused alumina, silicon carbide, garnet, etc.)

  • 25 kg plastic woven bags
  • 40 bags per pallet, or 1-tonne big bags
  • Palletised and wrapped for container loading

Standard export packing as above. Custom requirements — marking content, pallet material, container loading height limits — can be arranged on request.

4.2 What are the loading quantities per container?

Actual loading quantity depends on product specification and carton dimensions. We will confirm the exact quantity per 20GP / 40HQ together with your quotation, based on the specific items in your order.

5. Payment Terms

5.1 What payment methods do you accept?

  • T/T (Telegraphic Transfer) — standard terms
  • L/C at sight (irrevocable documentary letter of credit) — for large orders or first cooperation

For repeat orders, our usual arrangement is 30% deposit with the balance settled against the shipping documents. Alternative terms can be discussed according to order value and length of cooperation.

6. Lead Time

6.1 What is your lead time?

Order type Lead time
Stock items Normally within 7 working days of order confirmation
Custom-made items Normally 25 – 35 days after sample approval

Lead time varies with specification and degree of customisation. The confirmed delivery date is stated on each formal quotation.

7. Quality, Compliance & Technical Support

7.1 Are the products certified for international markets?

We operate an ISO 9001 quality management system, and export regularly to Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Russia, Japan, Korea, South America and other markets. The following documents are available on request:

  • Certificate of Origin
  • Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS / SDS)
  • Third-party inspection reports

Grade-specific test reports can also be arranged, such as Fe/S/Cl content for stainless steel applications.

7.2 How do you ensure batch-to-batch consistency?

Each production batch is checked against the approved sample using our AQL sampling plan. Inspection covers grit grade, grading, hardness, dimensions, appearance and packaging, and the retained sample is filed for reference should any query arise later.

7.3 What if the product does not perform well in my application?

Send us the details of the problem — workpiece material, equipment model and the parameters in use — and our technical team will advise.

In most cases the issue can be resolved by adjusting grit, bond or grain structure rather than changing the product type. This is far more economical than switching to a different product, and avoids the risk of burning or damaging workpieces with an unsuitable tool.

8. Company Profile

8.1 What are your production and R&D capabilities?

Founded in 2006 and located in Yichuan County, Luoyang, Henan Province — the heart of China's abrasives industry — we operate a 8,000 m² plant with a 6,000 m² production area and more than 50 employees, including 7 R&D engineers, over 20 production technicians, 6 quality inspectors and 6 management personnel.

  • Fusion capacity: 2 brown fused alumina production lines
  • Forming equipment: more than 10 automatic grinding wheel forming machines
  • Annual output value: over RMB 50 million

We operate our own abrasive plant, controlling quality from the raw material through to the finished product — the technical foundation of the consistent performance our customers rely on.

8.2 Which markets do you currently serve?

Our domestic sales network covers most cities in China, while export accounts for over 40% of total sales. Principal markets include Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Russia, Japan, South Korea and South America.

9. Customisation

9.1 Can you produce to our own specification?

Yes. We can adjust or develop products to your requirements, including abrasive type and grit, bond formulation, dimensions, bore size, maximum speed, packing format and logo. Enquiries are welcome with your workpiece material, thickness and machine type so that we can recommend the most suitable specification.
